I wish that other people could feel the way I feel right now. I just feel so much love for mankind at this moment. I desire more than anything, to be a beacon of light, happiness, and kindness to the many people I come in contact with and will come in contact with in the future. My hope is that I will be able to transfer the love that Heavenly Father has for me, to as many people as I can. I pray that God will send those people my way and that I may be humble enough to recognize the moments that he has entrusted me with to take care of and simply stretch out a hand of love/service to His precious children.
For the past couple of days, my sister has been playing the song, "We Are the World." She loves this song and has been singing it often lately. I love it too and believe it shares a powerful message about the obligations we have as human beings to give to others and to be charitable in every realm possible. Michael Jackson played a huge role in writing and I believe, producing this song. His name and reputation have been tarnished and defamed by the media and countless others, yet I look to him as being a great example of charity and service. He gave so much to others and sang many powerful songs during his lifetime, which encouraged people to give of themselves and to make the world a better place. I truly do not think that he got enough credit for it while he was alive, nor does he get it now since his passing. Yet I stand in awe of him and his love for humanity. Without fail and without hesitation, he gave so much.
Listen to the words of this song. In my opinion, no group of musicians has ever worked together to make a song as amazing as this since "We Are the World" was made. It's about time that "[we] start giving" and it is my hope that one day, I will be able to measure up to this song's message.
